Katie Collins is a Fashion and Textile designer based in Kent, graduating with a degree in Fashion Textiles: Print from the University for the Creative Arts: Rochester. Throughout her studies Katie has developed a range of skills which she utilizes to confidently create prints both by hand and digitally. As a designer Katie has focused on luxury womens occasionwear for her third-year collection, exploring aspects of various gardens in a rich and vibrant colour palette. The collection is aimed at elegant, sophisticated ladies interested in that little touch of magic.

Katie's Graduate Collection, Enchanted Gardens, is a collection born from her childhood love of fairies whereby nature inspired prints surface silky fabrics encapsulating femininity and seasonal sensuality. As a child, Katie was always very curious as to where they lived, imagining fantasy surroundings. Visiting Jardin Majorelle, Yves Saint Laurent’s garden in Morocco, brought back all these childhood thoughts and memories which inspired her to create prints based upon a fairy’s environment. Through drawing aspects from various gardens Katie has been able to develop her work through experimentation to create unique sophisticated prints which are timeless and something a real-life fairy would adorn herself in.
