With a focus on fabrication and material development, Kieren Radford explores the relationship between the 2D and 3D through pleating and pattern cutting.

While studying at Central Saint Martins, his focus has always been on the combination of sculptural shapes and traditional menswear tailoring, combining new and exciting shapes with the familiarity of menswear detailing.

For his BA collection, Kieren focused on creating pleats using non-traditional materials, and exploring how pleating can be used to create 3D forms that fit onto the body, and highlight its movement. These shapes create a bold silhouettes, highlighted in bold orange and red, complemented by the calmer navy and creams.
