With her strong connection with Celtic heritage, from the Glens of Antrim, along the North Coast of Ireland, her family roots date back here for generations. This strong link with heritage has provided her with inspiration throughout her design process.
Design ideas and processes filled with history, folklore mythology and skilled craft creating a real narrative for her influences, a place where tradition is so important, which is a rare thing as the world is moving so fast in this digital age.
Michelle is teaching herself dying out traditional Irish craft methods such a basket weaving and Irish cable knitting which has constantly influenced her work.
