Satu has practiced meditation for ten years, and it plays a crucial role in her artistic practice as it allows her to access deeper levels of intuition and inner peace. In contrast to the overwhelming flow of images and information in today's world, meditation provides a space for contemplation and clarity, enabling her to create art that is both meaningful and harmonious.

Her work is based on intuition; she never plans ahead. She sees her abstract works as manifestations of herself and universal truths achieved through meditation and intuition. Her art is guided by an intuitive sense of harmony, balance, and color.

Her artworks are composed of two elements: the internal and the external. The human element is always present in her works. Although her works appear abstract, traces of human figures can be seen in the sculptures, for example. She works through a contemplative practice, so there is always an essence of humanity (mind, body and soul) in all her works. She primarily paints with oil colours but also use oil pastels. Recently, she has started making small ceramic sculptures.

She hold a Master's degree in Art History from the University of Helsinki. She has worked as a contemporary art curator in several museums in Helsinki for 20 years. She resumed her painting studies five years ago and will graduate with a Bachelor's degree this year. In recent years, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions, and held two solo exhibitions in 2025. It's never too late to pursue your dreams and turn your life into something meaningful, full of joy and creative freedom.
