Seung Cho was born in South Korea and received a BFA degree in Fashion Design from Parsons the New School for Design, the South Korean designer is passionate about art, design, and communication.
She came to America when she was 14 years old to achieve her dream of being a fashion designer by combining art with fashion. After getting accepted into Parsons, Seung worked as a freelance design assistant for Coach 1941 and participated in the design process for Pre-Fall 19 collection. Additionally, she apprenticed for Calvin Klein, Area NYC, and Cristina Ottaviano in NYC, and joined Eyes on Talents and Not Just a Label as a private member.
Seung believes fashion is an artistic medium and wants to apply elements of abstract painting and collage to her collection. In her collection, she expresses her aesthetic sensibility through oversized shapes and bold colours. In that sense, her clothes provide freedom and artistic sensibility to the wearers. She likes to design unconventional clothes with geometric lines yet refined details.
Seung now works internationally based in South Korea and wants to be a global fashion designer who can communicate through clothes with various people around the world regardless of race, culture, and gender.
