With an interest in genetics and the history of nameplate jewellery, Siobhan Wallace is a Jewellery artist specialising in making biological data wearable.

During her time at Central Saint Martins, Siobhan’s work has always had a relation to biology from creating pieces that appear to have grown from the body to making human packaging that lists her ancestry data as a food label.

Nowadays, her interests lie in the ease of access to personal genetic information, and the potential implications of making this data wearable. Her most recent collection ‘selfhood’ utilitizes the rich history of nameplate jewellery and replaces the well known jewellery artifacts with her biological data. The designs often minic the content of data with her ‘Running out of time’ chain being affected by the Alzheimer’s she is at higher risk of developing.
