Sydnie Wainland, a recent graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) studied Jewellery Design with a minor in Accessory Design. She views her artwork as a means of communicating simplicity through values of craftsmanship and foremost attention to detail. Often referencing organic forms in nature, her work consists of metal elements and stonework combined.

She is constantly absorbed in a hands-on approach while working with fine metals and other materials. Emphasizing form is her main interest allowing for the materials to speak for themselves and for viewers to engage with shapes and colours of the work. This approach allows her to connect to the work and to the wearer themselves.
